The continent of Africa is as vast as it is diverse. After studying the basic physical geography of the region, Waynflete 7th graders undertook individual research projects on fifty distinct topics about Sub-Saharan Africa. From the famous wealth of Mansa Musa to the current motivations of Al Shabaab to the promising development of renewable energy, students investigated a myriad of topics which collectively paint a rich and varied portrait of the continent. We invite you to explore our work, add your comments and questions, and in doing so, share our appreciation of Africa’s diversity of cultures, histories, and stories.
